MARINA DEL REY FILM FESTIVAL

The 1st Annual Marina Del Rey International Film & Art Festival will launch a world-class film festival that will attract the most promising feature and documentary films, shorts, screenplays, filmmakers and Art from emerging talent both in the U.S. and abroad. This outdoor/indoor event will be held in Marina Del Rey, California in September when temperatures are a balmy 60-70 degrees under an eternal sunny sky in a nautical setting and stylish seaside ambiance, making it a unique event of its kind in this country.

Its proximity to the nerve center of the filmmaking capital of the world will only enhance its reputation.

Marina Del Rey is currently undergoing a complete transformation and remodeling. What an opportunity this festival offers to the harbor community and to the tourists who love it, to join together in celebration and support of the indie filmmaker and artists!

Festival includes competitions in all categories for narrative films and screenplays, and will be judged by accomplished filmmakers, writers with notable credits, and our Board of Directors chosen from Local community business leaders. Cash and Sponsor Prizes will be awarded to the top winners . All films and Art will be showcased in a high-profile, premiere-driven setting, and media news teams along with a chance for wider exposure through prospective pickup deals by key entertainment development and acquisitions executives in attendance.

The events will all be open to the public, screenings will be held in state-of-the-art theaters in the Marina Del Rey area, on yachts within the Harbor, and on Outdoor Inflatable WideScreens under the Stars.

Opening and closing night events will honor a prominent celebrity in Film, Television and Entertainment with an award presented by the Festival’s Founder, Debbie Durkin and the Festival Title Sponsors.
